The CEESA Rock Band Festival in Prague was a great success! Our musicians performed with confidence and professionalism, demonstrating their musical growth. They made meaningful new friendships and connections with students from other schools, and represented themselves and our program with pride throughout the weekend. It is 1936, and Rome is in crisis. Fearful and jealous, several Roman senators convince Julius Caesar's friend Brutus to join their assassination plot against the would-be emperor... Our HS production of Shakespeare's timeless political drama runs April 14-16th at 6pm. Tickets are on sale now at the main entrance for 20pln. We recommend this production for students in Grade 7 and above.

During this meeting, your child will present their “Oh, the Places I Can Go” assignment, which serves as a foundation for us to talk about specific goals and outline essential next steps for the upcoming summer and the start of Grade 12. G12 IBDP Results & University -  Information Session April 2nd

The Diploma Coordinators and Grade 11 + 12 Counselors will be holding an information session for Grade 12 parents about how students will get their final IBDP results this July, how these results get sent to universities, as well as about diploma legalization requirements for various countries. 

When: Thursday, April 2nd, 8:30-9:30 a.m.

Where: Multi-Purpose Room 1 (MPR1) / Chopin Hall (This is in the Annex/Arts building. To get there, walk down the hallway that runs alongside the length of the cafeteria or directly through the centre of the cafeteria on the ground floor, turn left at the end, and it’s the large room straight ahead of you).  

Do not worry if you cannot attend! We will send out the information and slides from this session via email to all parents and students afterwards; you can also reach out to the counselors or DP coordinators at any time with any questions you may have!

US Counselors on the Move

 Last week, Gina Cuthbert, Agata Kielczewska, and Luke LaBaw attended the International School Counselor Association (ISCA) annual conference in Prague. It was an excellent opportunity to connect with counselors from around the world and engage in professional development geared towards best practices in international counseling in areas such as social emotional learning, mental health, student voice and emotional regulation.

 Last week Lance Yuen attended the St. Andrews Counselor Conference. St. Andrews is continuing to diversify their admissions process each year with international students. As one of the oldest and highest ranked universities in the UK, St.Andrews continues to provide a unique educational experience through its 4 year course study. It was also amazing to reconnect with recent ASW graduates who are currently attending St. Andrews as well.
