What Does It Mean to Have No Home?

What does it mean to have no home? What does the word ‘homeless’ means? What is an eviction? What is a homeless shelter? How can one help a person who has no place to live? Why is old age sometimes related to homelessness? Can somebody who is only 6 years of age help a homeless person?

Kristina Murphy from Warsaw Volunteer Mission talking to the ASW first graders about homelessness

These and other similarly difficult questions were asked during a meeting that the ASW first-graders had with Ms. Kristina Murphy, a representative of Warsaw Volunteer Mission charity organisation.

WVM works as a bridge between people in need and donors.

One of their project is focused on aiding people who lost their homes in Warsaw and live in homeless shelters. She shared what WVM does to help the disadvantaged people in Warsaw, and encouraged the students to get involved in helping these people in need.
