Theater

Theatre and drama classes at ASW are available to students from grades 6 to 12. These classes encourage the growth of creative, reflective and communication skills through practical work. Emphasis is placed on the artistic process and the students’ understanding of this process as an essential component to their artistic development through continuous investigation, planning, goal setting, rehearsing, performing, reflection and evaluation.

Middle School students can choose between Theatre Arts, TVASW and Stagecraft.

High School students can choose between Intro to Theatre, Advanced Theatre, Stagecraft and IB Theatre Arts.

The IB DP Theatre course at ASW is multifaceted and gives students the opportunity to actively engage in theatre as creators, designers, directors and performers. It emphasizes working both individually and collaboratively as part of a larger ensemble.
