Virtual Open House

Our latest Virtual Open House took place on May 20th and focused on our Lower School (PreK-Grade 5). Watch the recording below:

Photos of Lower School

Our youngest students begin in the Early Years division of the Elementary School, with the space to wonder and discover the world through play.

As children move up to the elementary grades, they begin learning through play and inquiry about the world.

Learning is not only restricted to ES classrooms. Students regularly visit other areas of ASW to see what learning looks like in different grades.

In the upper grades of elementary school, our students continue to build on their knowledge and experience.

In Grade 5, students round off the year in an exhibition of their inquiry and learning - the PYP exhibition - as they prepare to move up to middle school.

All areas of campus are used as learning spaces. Here ES students participate in a cross-grade painting project on the sports field.

Students enjoy regular author visits and reading-related events in the ES Library.

Physical Education and Health classes use a variety of approaches to encourage an active lifestyle.

Green school takes place in the forests surrounding ASW.

Conquering goals and learning new skills can also happen at recess.

Entertainment at Carnival

An entertainer impresses students for the ES Carnival celebration in ASW's main gym.

On UN Day students explore and celebrate their own and their friends' unique cultures and traditions.

ES students take part in many events to mark the end of the school year. One of these is the PTO-sponsored Color Run.

The ES faculty care deeply about your child's development.
