ASW's First Annual Gala Was a Huge Success!

ASW's first annual gala was a formal affair to celebrate, showcase, and support the members of our community. The event ended up with 176 tickets sold, more than 225 people in attendance, including the student performers, and over $15,000 in donations and pledges. It is worth noting that 100 percent of the proceeds will be spent to support ASW's efforts to meet the needs of refugees from Ukraine.

'Our inaugural Culture of Giving gala was successful for a number of key reasons. First, it was successful because so many people at the school worked hard to pull it together - from the faculty, staff, and students to the PTO volunteers. "Many hands make light work." The fact that the cause is compelling is undeniable - assisting the Ukrainian people is critically important. And also the program featured ASW's talented and committed students. It was evident in the art, the service projects, and the performances. It was a whole school effort,' says Michael Teskey, ASW's new Director of Development.

'We all walked away with our special memories and our actions for the future now on the giving tree that all will see in the future in the main lobby area. We want to thank you for your support and for helping further the cause of our #ASWforUkraine project that continues unabated, due to many volunteers' continuous efforts behind the scenes,' adds Jon Zurfluh, ASW Director.
