Physical Theatre Educator Visits ASW

Students participate in a physical theatre workshop

From Monday to Friday of this week, ASW hosts Mark Hill, our second visiting artist of the 2017/18 school year!

Mark is an exceptionally talented performer and educator who specializes in physical theatre traditions rooted in Japan - including Butoh and Suzuki - helping us make the whole world our classroom.

He travels the world working with students from various international schools, and last month finished a residency in Abu Dhabi. More recently, Mark helped develop a Butoh performance with students in Brisbane, Australia.

This week Mark will be leading intensive workshops with all of the ASW High School drama classes - both MYP and DP. The work will culminate in a collaborative performance on Friday afternoon in the ASW theatre, beginning at 2 pm. Admission to this performance is free, and open to all!
