The ASW Refugee Club continues this year to offer English and Polish language classes for kids who live in refugee centres near Warsaw. This year the ASW students are collaborating with Dębak Refugee Centre.
The lessons, with a strong theatrical component, focus on teaching the kids how to express simple sentences about things they like, and about various professions and future careers. The kids also learned how to craft parachutes.
The sessions are a learning opportunity not just for the refugee kids but also for the ASW students who plan these lessons.
The lessons took place in various spaces of the ASW campus. In theater arts classrooms, on sports fields and, during the parachute launching class, the students got to visit the ASW roof garden.
