Our Loss

As promised, we are providing summary information here as we continue to grieve our the death of grade 12 student Mikołaj Dziduch, who suffered a sudden cardiac event in his sleep early Friday morning, September 22. Services for Mikołaj have been set for Friday morning at 11:00 a.m.  We will continue school as normal for Elementary and Middle School but will close High School for the day on Friday in order to allow staff and students to attend services.  Included below is the information regarding the arrangements. The school will send flowers on behalf of the Board of Trustees and the entire school community.

We will have counselling staff on campus as well for any who might need additional support.  High School students and parents were sent a message earlier today regarding transportation to services and details regarding the arrangements.  Our thanks again for the tremendous outpouring of support from the entire school community!!

Extra Fire Drills

We performed an additional unplanned fire drill today when we again had an electrical issue with one of the modules.  We are replacing equipment and we should not have any further errors in the system that would trigger an alarm.  We apologize for any inconvenience.  What I can report is that we completed this drill in record time - just under 8 minutes to all clear.

Parents - please be reminded that you must participate in the evacuation if you are in the building for any reason.  Please follow the directions of our staff and leave the building for the appointed gathering zones as directed.  You should remain silent and alert for directions for the entire duration of the drill.  Staff will direct you to locations and we may be checking against security lists for your presence.  I also need to remind you that there is no video recording allowed during drills of this nature so that we can maintain your attention to directions as they are given and so that there are no distractions for students.  Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Also, as an additional note, our staff will be actively checking for parent badges which should be worn and visible while on campus.  Please make sure you are wearing your parent badge at all times and remember that your badge should NEVER be given to another individual for any reason.  Report lost or stolen badges promptly to security.
