On April 5 groups of 9th graders embarked on unique expeditions. These were journeys into the heart of their community, where they actively engaged with four inspiring institutions. Throughout the day, the students transformed from observers into participants, hopefully leaving a lasting impact while gaining invaluable life lessons.

Our Service Learning program integrates meaningful and authentic community service with curriculum, instruction, and reflection to support students in understanding themselves and their communities, empowering them to make a difference.
Through service and action, students develop the attributes of the IB learner profile by applying and extending their skills and knowledge in real-world contexts. Service opportunities arise from individual or group initiatives, curriculum connections or identified community needs.

Some 140 litres of pumpkin soup were cooked at ASW using veggies from ASW gardens. The soup was donated to a variety of beneficiaries.
